Christian Gerencser is Head of Portfolio at Gateway Ventures and looks after the startups its investors have backed.

He brings almost two decades of fund management. For more than ten years he worked at Superfund, an international asset manager, and from 2014 to 2023 he was managing director of its Austrian fund management company, responsible for domestic and international investment funds, UCITS funds and funds of funds, with partners in Europe, Asia and the US. Over his career he has managed more than 20 different funds.

He is a co-founder of Accessum Capital, a seed to Series A fund for DACH and CEE, and is convinced that startups as an asset class hold far more potential than the traditional financial world.
